Testo Strengthens Temperature and Humidity Monitoring at a Johor Industrial Facility

Testo — Customer Case Study

Johor Food and Beverage Facility Strengthens Climate Monitoring with Testo 175 H1

A food and beverage production facility in Johor, Malaysia deployed the Testo 175 H1 temperature and humidity data logger to monitor indoor environmental conditions continuously, document changes over time and give its operations team clearer information for environmental control and review.

  • Food and beverage production facility in Johor, Malaysia
  • Deployed Testo 175 H1 two-channel temperature and humidity data loggers
  • Continuous recording of temperature, relative humidity and calculated dew point
  • Up to one million readings for long-term environmental trend analysis

Overview

Food and beverage production environments depend on controlled indoor conditions to support consistent operations, appropriate storage practices and the protection of environment-sensitive materials.

The Johor facility required a practical monitoring solution that could record temperature and humidity across extended periods. Its objective was to establish consistent environmental records and make fluctuations easier to identify, investigate and manage.

The Challenge

A reading taken at a single moment cannot reveal what happened between inspections. Without continuous records, short-term fluctuations, gradual environmental drift and breached limits can be difficult to investigate.

  • Limited historical visibility. Individual readings do not provide sufficient data for identifying recurring fluctuations or longer-term environmental trends.
  • Multiple environmental variables. Temperature, relative humidity and dew point must be considered together when evaluating indoor conditions and potential condensation risk.
  • Delayed identification of deviations. Personnel need a clear way to recognise when configured environmental limits have been exceeded.
  • Inconsistent documentation. Operational teams need structured measurement records that can be transferred, analysed and retained for internal review.

The Solution

We provided the facility with the Testo 175 H1 temperature and humidity data logger as the core of its environmental monitoring solution.

Designed for long-term monitoring in buildings, storage facilities and other enclosed environments, the logger records temperature and relative humidity through its external sensor. It also calculates dew point, helping the operations team evaluate environmental changes and possible condensation conditions.

Continuous Environmental Recording

The Testo 175 H1 records temperature, relative humidity and calculated dew point around the clock. This creates a continuous measurement history instead of relying on isolated readings that only represent conditions at one particular moment.

Fast-Response External Sensor

An external temperature and humidity sensor is connected directly to the logger housing. Its fast response helps the device register changing indoor conditions promptly and provides useful information for operational review.

Clear On-Site Information

The logger’s display shows current readings, configured limits, recorded limit breaches and remaining battery capacity. Personnel can review essential environmental information directly at the monitoring location.

Flexible Data Transfer and Analysis

The Testo 175 H1 can store up to one million readings, supporting extended monitoring periods without frequent data collection.

Recorded measurements can be transferred to a computer through an optional USB connection cable or SD card and analysed using compatible Testo ComSoft software. This enables the facility to examine environmental trends and retain structured measurement records.

Results & Benefits

  • More complete environmental visibility. Continuous logging gives the facility a clearer picture of temperature and humidity conditions throughout each monitoring period.
  • Better identification of deviations. Configurable limits and the display of breached thresholds help personnel recognise fluctuations requiring further investigation.
  • Structured measurement records. Recorded data can be transferred, analysed and retained to support internal environmental reviews and operating procedures.
  • Improved long-term trend analysis. The large memory capacity allows environmental performance to be compared across longer periods.
  • A scalable monitoring approach. Additional data loggers can be deployed in other relevant enclosed areas when the facility needs broader monitoring coverage.

How We Support Customers

We help businesses select environmental monitoring equipment according to the conditions being measured, the required monitoring duration and how the recorded information will be reviewed.

Our solutions connect suitable measuring instruments with practical operating requirements. This gives facility teams a clearer route from environmental measurement to useful records, trend analysis and informed corrective action.
